Murkwater Cave

Murkwater Cave is home to a group of deserters who have turned to banditry, and their leader is Patches, a familiar face for anyone who has played FromSoftware’s earlier games. The cave is small, but tripwires near the main cavern ring a bell and wake everyone up, so walk carefully.

Patches himself fights you as a boss. When he is low on health, he gives up and begs for his life. Sparing him keeps him around as a merchant later. Killing him gives you his gear, a Spear +7 and his Bell Bearing.
