Lightningproof Dried Liver
A craftable snack that raises your lightning damage negation by 15% (10% in PvP) for 120 seconds. It counts as a body buff, so it will not stack with other body buffs.
Pop one before fights against lightning-heavy enemies, dragons in particular, when you would rather not spend FP on a spell.

Where to find it
You can craft it once you have the Ancient Dragon Apostle’s Cookbook 4, found in Crumbling Farum Azula. Past the Dragon Temple Lift Site of Grace, cross the courtyard, jump across the rooftops on the right and follow the rising path of floating stone walls to a round building guarded by two giant skeleton beastmen.
A few can also be picked up in the world:
- 2 on the stairs leading to the Fortified Manor in Leyndell, Royal Capital. From the Avenue Balcony Site of Grace, go up the stairs and turn right. Two Leyndell Soldiers and a spear-wielding Leyndell Knight guard them.
- 1 in Crumbling Farum Azula near the Crumbling Beast Grave Site of Grace: head right and check a hole in the wall on your left as you enter the next room.
- 1 in the Lake of Rot.
Item description & lore
An animal liver cured in a yellow medicinal brine and then dried until it keeps.
Notes & tips
- Compared with Lightning Fortification in PvE, the liver lasts longer (120 vs 90 seconds) and costs no FP, but the incantation gives a much bigger boost (35% vs 15%).
- In PvP both are capped to the same strength, so the liver comes out ahead thanks to its longer duration and zero FP cost.
- Its cookbook turns up very late, so you will not be able to craft it in time for Leyndell, one of the most lightning-heavy areas. The few loose ones there are worth grabbing.
