Sorceress Sellen
Sorceress Sellen was once the most promising student the Academy of Raya Lucaria ever had. Now she is an exile, hiding in the cellar of the Waypoint Ruins in Limgrave, and the first proper teacher of sorcery most players meet.
She is charming, ambitious and a little dangerous, and her questline is about the oldest secrets of glintstone sorcery: the primeval current, and the two founders of the Academy who chased it. It also reveals that the woman in the cellar is not quite who she seems.

Questline
- Waypoint Ruins. Beat the Mad Pumpkin Head in the cellar and ask Sellen to teach you. Her shop opens.

- Sellia Hideaway. Use the Sealbreaker on the sealed tunnel in the Sellia Hideaway to find Primeval Sorcerer Lusat. He gives you Stars of Ruin.
- Witchbane Ruins. After Radahn falls, Sellen tells you where her real body is. Go to the Witchbane Ruins and take Sellen’s Primal Glintstone.
- Three Sisters. In a hidden cellar northeast of Ranni’s Rise, place the glintstone in a puppet body that looks like her. Sellen awakens in her new body.
- Academy of Raya Lucaria. Two summon signs appear by a door in the Academy: one for Sellen and one for Witch-Hunter Jerren. Your choice decides how her story ends.
Fate & endings
If you side with Sellen, you help her against Jerren. If you side with Jerren, you help him hunt her down. Each choice ends her story differently and gives different rewards, so think about which of them you trust before you touch a summon sign.
Lore
Sellen’s first teacher was Azur, one of the founders of the Academy and the man behind the Karolos Conspectus. Both Azur and Lusat chased the primeval current, and both paid for it.
Notes & tips
- Her summon sign can also appear for the Red Wolf of Radagon once she has her new body.
