Royal Knight Loretta

Loretta was once a royal knight of the Carian family. You meet her twice. At the top of Caria Manor, her spirit still guards the way to Ranni’s towers, as Royal Knight Loretta. Much later, deep in Miquella’s Haligtree, you find the real Loretta, Knight of the Haligtree, now protecting the Albinaurics who found refuge there.

Both fights are similar: a graceful knight on horseback with a halberd and glowing magic arrows. The Haligtree version is tougher and has a few new tricks.

How to beat it

Loretta rides around you and alternates between halberd sweeps and magic. Her glintstone arrows come in volleys and can be dodged by rolling to the side as they arrive. Stay close to her horse’s flank, attack after her wide halberd swings, and be ready for her to back off and fire.

At the Haligtree she adds a big circle of glowing arrows that fall from above. Keep moving when you see the ring appear.

Lore

Loretta’s favourite weapon was always the bow, and she created sorceries that imitate a greatbow. She eventually left Caria to help the Albinaurics, who had been treated badly for so long, and followed them to the Haligtree.
