Fire Knight

Fire Knights are an elite order that answered directly to Messmer the Impaler. They fight with greatswords and shortswords and use fire in their attacks.

All of them are found in Shadow Keep: in the keep itself, in the Church District (where an illusory Fire Knight Elder waits) and in the Specimen Storehouse.

How to beat it

Treat each Fire Knight like a mini-boss. They have a lot of health, so be patient, learn their combos and only punish once you know a string has ended. Fire protection helps against their flames.

Lore

Each Fire Knight came from a noble family of the Erdtree’s high society, and each was cast out after swearing loyalty to Messmer. They alone understood their master’s cursed, serpent-like flames and the Base Serpent that consumed him, and they used that fire to spread destruction in the crusade into the Realm of Shadow. Their helm carries the same blessing as the Erdtree’s Favor talismans, a sign that Marika favoured them greatly.
