Steed

Steeds are the horses that mounted enemies ride into battle. They are completely passive and never attack you themselves. When a Steed has lost its rider, it usually runs away if you hit it.

They appear wherever mounted enemies do, both in the Lands Between and in the Realm of Shadow.

How to beat it

The trick with mounted enemies is the horse: deal enough poise damage and the rider is thrown off, which gives you an opening. Be quick, because a rider can climb back onto its Steed.
