D, Hunter of the Dead
D, Hunter of the Dead is a golden-armored warrior who hunts Those Who Live in Death, the restless dead who keep getting back up. You can first meet him near Summonwater Village in Limgrave, where he warns you about the dead in the village.
Later he moves to the Roundtable Hold. He points you to Gurranq, the beast clergyman who wants Deathroot, and sells incantations that work beautifully against the undead.

Sells Litany of Proper Death and Order’s Blade (after you meet Gurranq)
Can be summoned in the Black Knife Catacombs and against a Tibia Mariner in Liurnia
Questline
- Limgrave. Meet him near Saintsbridge or Summonwater Village. After the Tibia Mariner falls, he offers to introduce you to Gurranq.
- Roundtable Hold. He arrives at the Hold. Once you have met Gurranq, his shop opens.
- Fia’s request. Later, Fia asks you to return a Weathered Dagger to its owner. That owner is D.
Fate & endings
After you give D the Weathered Dagger and reload the area, you find his body in a previously locked room in the Roundtable Hold. His twin brother, D, Beholder of Death, later appears in the Deeproot Depths and can receive D’s Twinned Set.

- If you want D’s shop items, buy them before you hand over the dagger.
