Gatekeeper Gostoc
Gatekeeper Gostoc is the hunched little servant who guards the front gate of Stormveil Castle. He hates his master, Godrick the Grafted, and he is happy to help you get inside. He will even open the main gate for you, though he suggests taking the side path instead.
He is helpful, chatty and a merchant once you have spoken to him. He is also a thief: if you die inside the castle, Gostoc helps himself to part of the runes you dropped.
Services / shop
Merchant (Silver-Pickled Fowl Foot, Ruin Fragments, Furlcalling Finger Remedy and more)
Questline
- Talk to him at the gate after beating Margit. Choose the side path or let him open the main gate.
- Find him again inside the castle and buy what you need.
Fate & endings
Gostoc can be killed. He drops Gostoc’s Bell Bearing and, if he has been stealing from you, a share of your lost runes.
Notes & tips
- His advice about the side path is honest. The main gate leads straight into a heavily guarded courtyard.
