Kaiden Sellsword

Kaiden Sellswords are big, fearless mercenaries in fur-lined scale armour. They swing the Dismounter, a heavy curved greatsword, and you can meet them both on foot and riding Kaiden steeds.

You find them in Limgrave and Stormhill, on the Weeping Peninsula and much later in the Consecrated Snowfield, where they are far tougher.

How to beat it

The Dismounter was made for knocking riders off their horses, so be careful fighting a Sellsword from Torrent. On foot, dodge through the big sweeping swings and hit back when the sword comes down.

Mounted Sellswords hit hard on the charge. Let them pass, then catch them as they turn.

Lore

The Kaiden Sellswords are said to come from a settlement of horse-riding people in the cold northern mountains. They earned their reputation on countless battlefields, unhorsing enemy riders with their greatswords, and they roused themselves with war cries that called out the name of their home. That settlement does not appear in the game.
