Weeping Peninsula
The Weeping Peninsula hangs off the southern edge of Limgrave, a crescent of cliffs, ravines and poison swamps where the rain almost never stops. The name fits. It is a sad, grey place, and many of the stories you find here end in loss.
It is also one of the best places to go early on. The peninsula is full of small dungeons, it has its own legacy-style fortress in Castle Morne, and you can pick up Sacred Tears, Smithing Stones and a whole row of useful talismans before you ever set foot in Stormveil. If Margit, the Fell Omen is giving you trouble, a trip south is often the answer.

Lore
Castle Morne was once the stronghold of a warrior clan that rose against Queen Marika and lost. A sword monument near the castle still marks their duel with Godfrey, the first Elden Lord. These days, the peninsula belongs to Godrick the Grafted, and his rule has gone about as well here as everywhere else.
