Ghostflame Dragon

Ghostflame Dragons are drakes that drifted into the Land of Shadow after death and refused to fully die. Their skeletons are wrapped in tattered funeral cloth, their wings are sparsely feathered, and they breathe ghostflame, the same cold blue fire as the Deathbirds.

There are three of them: one asleep in a swamp near the Greatbridge, North grace in the Gravesite Plain, one fighting Messmer’s soldiers near the Moorth Highway grace on the Scadu Altus, and one on the Cerulean Coast.

Part of the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion, in the Land of Shadow.

How to beat it

Ghostflame breath builds up frostbite and lingers on the ground, so never stand in the blue fire. Ride Torrent for the open-field dragons and hit the head when it lowers after a bite or a breath. The Gravesite Plain dragon starts summoning skeletons in its second phase.

Lore

The Ghostflame Dragons count as both dragons and those who live in death, which is why holy damage and dragon-slaying tools both work on them.
