Millicent
Millicent is a young woman with red hair and a body slowly being eaten by scarlet rot. You find her at the Church of the Plague in Caelid, too weak to move, waiting for a cure that her guardian, Sage Gowry, has been trying to find.
Her questline is one of the most touching in the game. It follows her from a sickbed in Caelid all the way to the roots of Miquella’s Haligtree, as she slowly works out who she is and what she wants to be. Helping her pays off in more ways than one.

Questline
- Swamp of Aeonia. Beat Commander O’Neil for the Unalloyed Gold Needle. Bring it to Sage Gowry, reload the area, and take the repaired needle.
- Church of the Plague. Give Millicent the needle, rest at the grace and talk to her. She gives you the Prosthesis-Wearer Heirloom.
- Gowry’s Shack. Talk to Millicent there.
- Altus Plateau. Find her on a hill north of the Erdtree-Gazing Hill grace. Get the Valkyrie’s Prosthesis from The Shaded Castle and give it to her.
- Dominula. Summon her against the Godskin Apostle, then talk to her afterwards.
- Mountaintops of the Giants. Find her beside the Ancient Snow Valley Ruins grace.
- Elphael. Talk to her next to the Prayer Room grace.
- The final choice. After the Putrid Tree Spirit in Elphael, two summon signs appear above the rot pool. The golden one lets you help Millicent against her four sisters. The red one lets you help the sisters against her.
Fate & endings
If you help Millicent, she fights off her sisters and you receive the Rotten Winged Sword Insignia. Speak to her one last time beside the pool. She will also be summonable just outside Malenia’s arena. Helping her is also what makes Malenia leave behind Miquella’s Needle when you revisit her arena.
Lore
Millicent and her sisters were found as children in the Swamp of Aeonia by Sage Gowry, who raised them. The Valkyrie’s Prosthesis and her missing arm link her to Malenia, and her story quietly asks what she owes the goddess she came from.
