Elphael, Brace of the Haligtree

Elphael is the city at the base of Miquella’s Haligtree, and it is where the tree’s sickness shows most clearly. Scarlet rot fills the lower levels, Cleanrot Knights and Haligtree soldiers guard the halls, and the roots of the tree twist through everything.

At the bottom, among the roots, waits Malenia, Blade of Miquella, who has never known defeat. She is widely seen as the hardest boss in the base game, and the moment she says her name is one of the most iconic in the series.
