Where to find it
Found in a number of late-game places:
- Deeproot Depths: six in total, tied to the Giant Ants with large abdomens, which do not respawn. One is near the Root-Facing Cliffs site of grace and five near the Great Waterfall Crest site of grace, inside the cave that holds the Elden Stars incantation.
- Divine Tower of Caelid: one on the back side of the tower, facing the Bestial Sanctum.
- Elphael, Brace of the Haligtree: two, one on a corpse at the eastern edge of the ring-shaped walkway along a broken section, and one on a corpse at the southwest end of the graveyard in the far northeast of the city.
- Jarburg: one from Diallos after you complete his and Jar-Bairn‘s shared questline.
- Miquella’s Haligtree: three, including one in the canopy near the top of the ladder down to Haligtree Town.
- Mohgwyn Palace: one on a corpse by the cliffs along the path to the Mohgwyn Dynasty Mausoleum.
Item description & lore
Golden Runes are the grace that lives within the people of the Lands Between, a leftover trace of gold. The Numen are said to have come from beyond the Lands Between and to share the same lineage as Queen Marika.
Notes & tips
- Runes kept as items in your inventory are safe if you die, so there is no rush to crush them.
