Ash of War: Thops’s Barrier

Thops’s Barrier lets you swing your shield to raise a magical forcefield that turns away sorceries and incantations. It also works as a normal parry.

It grants the Magic affinity, so it suits an Intelligence build, and works on small and medium shields.

Where to find it

Dropped by a Scarab at the Church of Irith in Liurnia of the Lakes. The Scarab only appears after you give Sorcerer Thops the spare Academy Glintstone Key found inside the Academy of Raya Lucaria.

Once you own it, Smithing Master Hewg can duplicate it in exchange for Lost Ashes of War.
