Raya Lucaria Soldier

These are the soldiers of the Academy of Raya Lucaria, better known as the Cuckoos. Their red-and-blue surcoats show two cuckoos peering at a mass of glintstone, and a single cuckoo feather decorates each helm. They can throw Cuckoo Glintstone at you as well as fight with sword, warpick or crossbow.

You find them across Liurnia of the Lakes and along the Bellum Highway. Puppet versions also appear in Caria Manor and the Carian Study Hall. They often fight alongside Cuckoo Knights and Raya Lucaria Foot Soldiers.

How to beat it

A standard soldier fight, with one twist: they can throw glintstone from range. Do not hang back at mid distance. Shields and crossbows make groups annoying, so pull them apart and deal with the shooters first.

Lore

The Academy gave its soldiers free rein to wage war as they liked, and the Cuckoos became notorious for plunder. When the Academy turned on the Carian royal family, the Cuckoos joined the attack on Caria Manor.
