Nokstella, Eternal City

Nokstella is one of the Eternal Cities of the Nox, a people driven underground after they angered the Greater Will. You find it deep in the Ainsel River, on the western side of the underground river, and it is a strange, quiet place of dark stone and old grandeur.

Expect Nox warriors, Silver Tears, Giant Ants and Skeletal Snails as you pick your way through. It is worth the trouble: the city is stuffed with high-level smithing stones, Ghost Gloveworts for your spirit ashes and a Golden Seed.

Its prize is the Moon of Nokstella, a talisman made in the image of the city’s lost Black Moon.

How to get there

You cannot walk in from the surface. Use the Sending Gate at Renna’s Rise, then follow the path through the northern Uhl Palace Ruins until you reach the city. The first Site of Grace sits on the east side of the city after a drop from above, and a lift takes you down to Nokstella Waterfall Basin.

Lore

The Nox were banished below ground for crossing the Greater Will. Nokstella’s Black Moon once guided countless stars, and the talisman shaped after it was treasured as the city’s greatest relic.
