Greater Will
The Greater Will is never seen. It is a mysterious being from the lightless void, and the dominant force behind the history of the Lands Between. Its vassals and envoys, such as the Two Fingers and the Elden Beast, stand at the centre of the Golden Order.

Lore
Before the age of the Erdtree, the people of the Eternal Cities rebelled against the Greater Will. To shield themselves from it, the Nox wore ritual mirrorhelms that blocked its influence and that of its vassals. They went further and turned the Fingerslayer Blade against one of those vassals. In answer, the Greater Will sent Astel, who destroyed the Eternal Cities and drove their people underground.
In the game it is never directly called an outer god. Even so, its Two Fingers picked both Ranni and Malenia as possible candidates to become gods and forge a new Order with the Elden Ring.
Notes & tips
- The Nox mirrorhelms probably worked by reflecting the Greater Will and the Two Fingers‘ language of light.
