Dueling Shield

The Dueling Shield is a thrusting shield from Shadow of the Erdtree, letting you attack and guard at the same time. It scales with Strength and Dexterity, and its skill is Shield Strike.

Requirements are modest (15 Strength, 14 Dexterity), so it suits a quality or Dexterity build that likes poking from behind a guard.

Where to find it

Found on a corpse in the Specimen Storehouse of Shadow Keep. From the Site of Grace, climb the stairs until you reach where the feet of the humanoid specimen originally stood, then jump over the railing on the left and follow the path to a ledge with the shield.

Item description & lore

A thrusting shield with golden ornamentation. Even in the Realm of Shadow, far from the Erdtree, ritual combat still carried weight.

Notes & tips

  • Patch 1.17 changed the item description.
