Bonny Butchering Knife

The Bonny Butchering Knife is an oversized cleaver, classed as a greataxe, from Shadow of the Erdtree. It deals physical damage, scales with Strength and Dexterity, and restores a very small amount of HP when it lands a solid hit.

Its unique skill, Hone Blade, has you sharpen the edge, which increases the HP you recover on hit. It suits a Strength/Dex melee character who likes trading blows and topping up as they go.

Found in Bonny Village in the Realm of Shadow, below a small shed outside a house near the broken bridge.

Item description & lore

This was the tool of Bonny Village’s greater potentates, a huge butcher’s cleaver used to cut up bodies for the great jars kept in the gaols. They prized it as an instrument of their craft.

Notes & tips

  • Restores a little HP on hits, and Hone Blade increases that amount.
  • Looks and moves the same as the cleaver used by Anastasia, Tarnished-Eater, including the HP recovery, but its skill is different.
