Memory of Grace

A reusable item that kills you on the spot and sends you back to the last Site of Grace you rested at. All runes you are carrying are destroyed, not dropped, so there is nothing to pick up afterwards.

Every character starts with it in the inventory, whatever the origin.

Item description & lore

The memory of the first grace, which once led the Tarnished of old to the Lands Between. It speaks of an endless cycle and urges you to stand before the Elden Ring and become Elden Lord.

Notes & tips

  • It cannot be sold, stored or discarded.
  • Its main use is getting free if you are stuck in the scenery and cannot fast travel.
  • Runes still lying where you died earlier are not destroyed by using it.
  • Spend your runes first if you can.
