Blind Swordsman
The blind swordsman is a legendary figure you never meet. He was an ancient wandering warrior dressed in sturdy leather and blue cloth, the blue standing for water as quick and flowing as his blade. Legend says a fairy, represented by the dancer in blue, gave him a curved sword patterned after rushing water.
He is best known as the teacher of Malenia.
Lore
Always on the move, he travelled down the Ainsel River to the Lake of Rot, where still water had turned stagnant with scarlet rot around a great scorpion. Sword in hand, he faced the outer god of Rot with the fluid style that defined him.
The Prosthesis-Wearer Heirloom shows him and Malenia clasping left hands; both have prosthetic right arms.
Notes & tips
- He is credited with inventing the guard counter: let your opponent strike, then punish the opening.
- He wore the blue cloth set that the Warrior class starts with.
