Living Jar
Living Jars are walking jars brought to life by human flesh and blood. They are thought of as a kindly people, but they fight back hard when they feel threatened. Inside they hold human innards, and they carry on the leftover traits of the people who came before. Besides the small jars, there are the Soldjar and the larger Warrior variant.
You meet them in Stormveil Castle, Caria Manor, Liurnia of the Lakes, the Academy of Raya Lucaria and Auriza Side Tomb, as well as on Mt. Gelmir, the Altus Plateau and the Mountaintops of the Giants. A peaceful community of them lives in Jarburg on the cliffs of Liurnia. They also appear in the Realm of Shadow. The most famous jar of all is Alexander, Warrior Jar.

How to beat it
Jars only fight when they feel threatened, but once they do, do not take them lightly. Keep moving, punish after their attacks, and watch for groups. The big Warrior jars always drop a Living Jar Shard, sometimes two.
Lore
Shards of Living Jars hold magical power, so poachers hunt them. Shadow of the Erdtree reveals more of their origin: undesirable people were stuffed into jars so they could be reborn as good people. Shamans pray at the gaols to the innards of the great jars, hoping they will be reborn as saints, a cycle of death and rebirth taken into mortal hands.
