Leonine Misbegotten

The Leonine Misbegotten waits at the southern tip of Castle Morne, the champion of the Misbegotten who rose up against their keepers. It has a thick red lion’s mane, wings and a tail, and it wields a heavy greatsword.

It is fast, jumpy and aggressive, and its big leaping slams can catch you off guard. It is also a great fight to learn on, because its attacks are honest once you have seen them a few times.

How to beat it

The Misbegotten opens with leaps and fast swings, often in long combos. Back off from the start of a combo, then strike when it finishes. Its jumping slam has a long hang time, so do not roll too early. Fire works well, and the boss can be parried if you are comfortable with that. A spirit ash can draw its attention while you hit it from the side.

Lore

The Misbegotten were treated as slaves at Castle Morne. This one now carries the castle’s old treasure, the greatsword of the clan that once fought Godfrey here.
