Smithing Stone 1

The most basic upgrade material in the game. It lets you reinforce standard armaments, meaning weapons and shields that take regular smithing stones, all the way up to +3.

You will pick up plenty of these early on, so there is rarely a reason to hold back. Spend them on your main weapon at a smithing table or with Smithing Master Hewg at the Roundtable Hold.

These turn up as loot all over the early game. You can also buy them:

From the Nomadic Merchant east of Saintsbridge in Limgrave (3 in stock).
From the Twin Maiden Husks at the Roundtable Hold, once you hand over Smithing-Stone Miner’s Bell Bearing 1.

Item description & lore

Smithing stone is common across the Lands Between, and mining galleries dug to extract it can be found nearly everywhere. This first grade is just a small, plentiful shard.
