Hornsent Grandam

The Hornsent Grandam is an elderly Hornsent woman hiding behind a locked door in a storeroom at Belurat, Tower Settlement, in the Realm of Shadow. The nearest Site of Grace is the Small Private Altar.

At first she sees you for what you are. Return wearing a Divine Beast Head, though, and she takes you for a fellow Hornsent and starts looking after you with homemade stew.

Questline

  1. Belurat, Tower Settlement. Find the Storeroom Key and unlock the storeroom. You can talk to her now, but it is optional.
  2. Defeat the Divine Beast Dancing Lion to get the Divine Beast Head.
  3. Talk to her while wearing the Divine Beast Head, rest at a Site of Grace, then talk to her again to receive Scorpion Stew. You can come back to have it topped up.
  4. Scadu Altus (optional). You can offer Scorpion Stew to Hornsent.
  5. Shadow Keep. Defeat Messmer the Impaler.
  6. Belurat, Tower Settlement. Return to her and talk to receive Gourmet Scorpion Stew.

Notes & tips

  • Entering the Shadow Keep too early can affect her questline, so visit her before pushing on.
  • If attacked she defends herself with the Watchful Spirit spell.
  • Striking her down before the Dancing Lion’s intro cutscene changes that cutscene: her pleas become weaker and more desperate.
