Lionel the Lionhearted

Lionel is a fearless knight who took in Fia after she was exiled from her homeland. His chivalry earned him the name Lionhearted, and he is both a skilled fencer and a battle mage.

You first meet him as a phantom at the Radahn Festival in the plaza of Redmane Castle, and his summon sign appears for the Starscourge Radahn fight on the Wailing Dunes. You meet him again much later in Deeproot Depths, as the last of Fia’s Champions.

Notes & tips

As one of Fia’s Champions he fights with a Great Épée (Repeating Thrust) and a Prince of Death’s Staff, casting Fia’s Mist and Rancorcall. Beating that last wave gets you Fia’s Mist.
His set, from Lionel’s Helm to Lionel’s Greaves, is very heavy, with excellent protection, especially against slash damage.
