Magnus the Beast Claw

Magnus is not someone who comes to you; you go to him. His invasion sign is in the Writheblood Ruins on the Altus Plateau, and each attempt costs a Festering Bloody Finger.

He fights with beast claw incantations and a great hammer, and is mainly there as an alternative way to finish the invasion task in White Mask Varré‘s questline.

Questline

  1. When Varré asks you to invade other worlds three times, go to the Writheblood Ruins.
  2. Use a Festering Bloody Finger on Magnus’s sign to invade his world.
  3. Defeating him counts as all three invasions.

Notes & tips

  • His claw incantations can be jumped over, which leaves an opening for jump attacks.
  • Dodge straight forward through his sling attack; he rarely spams it.
  • Blocking his heavy hammer is risky unless you use a solid greatshield.
