Greatshield Talisman
A blocker’s talisman. While you guard, incoming attacks drain less of your stamina, so you can hold your shield up longer before your guard breaks.
The reduction is a percentage of the stamina damage you would otherwise take, so it shines most with weapons and shields that only block moderately well, rather than with greatshields that already soak up almost everything.

The talisman shows a knight braced behind a greatshield. The knights of Leyndell took the Tree Sentinels as their model and swore to protect what is worth protecting, which is why the shield always came first for them and the sword second.
Notes & tips
- Cuts stamina damage taken while guarding by 20%.
- Because it is a percentage cut, returns shrink on gear with high Guard Boost. It pairs better with things in the 40 to 60 Guard Boost range, such as greatswords, colossal weapons and medium shields.
- In practice it works like adding (100 minus your Guard Boost) divided by 5 to your Guard Boost.
