Idus Sword

The Idus Sword is a light greatsword added with the Elden Ring Tarnished Edition. It has the reach of a greatsword but handles almost like a straight sword, which makes it a comfortable pick for quick, Dexterity-leaning characters.

It is the signature weapon of the Idus Knight and comes with the skill Impaling Thrust, a charged lunge that can punch through an enemy’s guard.

Found on a corpse in Liurnia of the Lakes, north of the Liurnia Lake Shore Site of Grace, between the Spirit Spring and the Map: Liurnia, East.

Item description & lore

The game calls it a signature weapon of the land of Idus. Its blade is as long as a greatsword’s, yet so well made that it weighs very little, and a trained hand can swing it as fast as a straight sword.

Notes & tips

Upgraded with regular Smithing Stones, so it can take Ashes of War and change affinity.
At 7.0 it is light for its reach, which pairs well with the light Silver Grooved Set.
