Larval Tear Locations

All 18 Larval Tear locations in Elden Ring, including the disguised enemies, and how to spend them on Rebirth with Rennala.

A Larval Tear is what you pay to respec your character through Rebirth, which lets you put your level-up points into different stats. There are 18 in the base game’s Lands Between, and since they can’t be farmed, each one is worth knowing about.

How to use Larval Tears

Rebirth is handled by Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon, who uses her amber egg to remake you. Each Rebirth costs one Larval Tear. Our Rebirth guide covers how to unlock it and what to plan before you reset. You can hold up to 99 at once, but with only 18 in the world you’ll never get close.

Many tears are carried by enemies in disguise: something that looks like a harmless Wandering Noble or a lone Giant Crayfish turns into a much tougher foe once you hit it. Most of the others are underground in Silver Tear territory, and two can be bought.

Tips

  • Larval Tears are limited, so think a build through before spending one on Rebirth.
  • Be suspicious of lone Wandering Nobles standing apart from everyone else. Four of the tears on this list come from nobles that turn into something else.
  • The underground around Nokron and Nokstella holds the biggest cluster, including the Mimic Tear’s double drop.
  • If you have spare runes, Pidia at Caria Manor and the Abandoned Merchant in Siofra River each sell one for 3,000.
