Grafted Scion
Grafted Scions are spindly, spider-like creatures made of many stitched-together arms, each holding a weapon or a shield. They are the product of Godrick’s grafting, and they are deeply unsettling to look at.
A Grafted Scion is the very first boss you meet, in the Chapel of Anticipation at the start of the game. More wait in Stormveil Castle, the Fringefolk Hero’s Grave and a few other places.

Attack the body right after a jump
How to beat it
Scions jump high and land with a flurry of strikes from all their arms. Keep your distance when they leap and move in after they land. Their weak point is the body, which is easiest to reach from behind or right after a jump.
Notes & tips
- Losing to the first Grafted Scion is expected. Beating it with a starting character is a famous challenge.
