Fire Knight Wego
Wego is a veteran Fire Knight and one of the old leaders of the order that served Messmer the Impaler. He fights with Messmer’s flame incantations and is a one-time encounter: once he falls, he stays dead.
He waits inside a cathedral in the Church District of the Shadow Keep. You can only reach that area after the water there has been drained.
How to beat it
Wego performs a ritual that brings back several burning putrid corpses. They come straight at you and explode in Messmer’s fire, so kill them before they arrive or get out of the way. Then press Wego himself between his casts.
His helm is a nice reward for spirit summoners: the Death Mask Helm lowers the FP cost of summoning spirits.
Lore
Like the other Fire Knights, Wego came from one of the noble families of the Erdtree’s high society and was cast out when he swore himself to Messmer. He understood the cursed, serpent-like fire of his lord and the pain that came with it. Salza, the sage of the order, was his disciple.
