Jagged Peak

The Jagged Peak rises sharply out of the southern shore of the Realm of Shadow, a harsh climb of scorched rock and slopes boiling with molten heat. Drakes are everywhere up here, and their remains are part of the scenery.

At the very top waits Bayle the Dread, the dragon whose fury the mountain seems to echo. Along the way you can meet Igon, an old dragon hunter who has his own score to settle with Bayle. The peak also holds the Grand Altar of Dragon Communion, where Dragon Hearts can be traded for dragon incantations such as Dragonfire, Dragonclaw, Dragonmaw, Magma Breath and Ghostflame Breath.

How to get there

The peak is part of the southern shore area. Below it lies the Foot of the Jagged Peak, and the Map Southern Shore fragment reveals both on your map, along with the Cerulean Coast and Charo’s Hidden Grave.

Lore

The mountain belongs to the dragons. Bayle’s roars are said to stir the peak’s molten heart, and the Domain of Dragons painting shows the view from up here toward the Scadutree and its chalice. Igon carries an old vow tied to this mountain, and with Igon’s Furled Finger he can stand beside you against Bayle at the summit.
