Magma Breath

Magma Breath turns your head into a wyrm’s maw and spits molten magma ahead of you, with one follow-up spew allowed. The magma leaves burning pools behind that briefly keep hurting enemies.

It needs both Faith and Arcane, so it suits dragon communion builds.

Where to find it

Trade 1 Dragon Heart at the Church of Dragon Communion in Limgrave, the Cathedral of Dragon Communion in Caelid, or the Grand Altar of Dragon Communion on the Jagged Peak. It becomes available after defeating the Magma Wyrm south of Fort Laiedd on Mt. Gelmir.

A Dragon Communion prayer. Those who take part in the communion slowly lose their humanity, and those who give in completely end up as wyrms crawling across the land.

Notes & tips

  • Boosted by the Roar Medallion and a Dragon Communion Seal in an active hand.
  • Can be cast on horseback, but not in mid-air.
  • Compared to Theodorix’s Magma it hits for less but costs less FP.
  • The magma pools last about six seconds and work well as traps against agile foes.
