Raya Lucaria Grand Library

The Raya Lucaria Grand Library sits at one of the highest points of the Academy of Raya Lucaria, and it is where the academy run ends. It was once the great seat of learning in Liurnia of the Lakes, and now it is the prison of the queen who used to rule it.

This is where you fight Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon, surrounded by her floating Juvenile Scholars. Beating her earns you the Great Rune of the Unborn and the Remembrance of the Full Moon Queen.

A few questlines pass through here too. Boc the Seamster can turn up, and this is where Sorceress Sellen and Witch-Hunter Jerren have their final showdown, depending on which side you take.

How to get there

Fight your way up through the Academy of Raya Lucaria. The Grand Library is at the top, and the grace here appears once you have dealt with Rennala.

Lore

Rennala was shut away in the library after Radagon left her and the academy turned on the Carian royals. She holds on to an amber egg, the Great Rune he left her as a parting gift, and has thrown herself into the forbidden art of rebirth.

The library holds only one chest, and it needs the Discarded Palace Key. Do not skip it: the Dark Moon Ring inside is needed to finish Ranni‘s questline at the Cathedral of Manus Celes. Look out for the statue of Radagon striking his familiar pose, too.
