An Elden Ring wiki
Twinbird
The twinbird never appears in person. It is an envoy of the outer god of Death and the mother of the Deathbirds. It is shown as a two-headed bird with contrasting colours: the left head has vivid red feathers, the right head deep blue.

Lore
Long before the Erdtree grew, the twinbird made its nest in the Lands Between. Its children, the Deathbirds, burned every kind of death in their ghostflame kilns, raking the smouldering ashes with barbed bone pokers. Even the rotting sludge sealed inside great stone coffins received these last rites. The servants of Death worshipped the Deathbirds as evil gods.
Notes & tips
- The twinbird is believed to live on in some form.
- Some players think the two-headed bird relief in Crumbling Farum Azula shows the twinbird.
