Black Flame’s Protection

Black Flame’s Protection reduces the physical damage you take by 35% (15% in PvP) for 70 seconds, at the cost of 20% less healing from all sources while it lasts.

It needs 30 Faith and is a solid defensive buff for Faith builds willing to accept weaker flasks.

Where to find it

Collect both halves of the Haligtree Secret Medallion (left and right), then speak to Sir Gideon Ofnir, the All-Knowing in the Roundtable Hold about the secret medallion. If you miss that before the Rune of Death is released, the Twin Maiden Husks sell it for 2,500 Runes.

Item description & lore

The Godskin Apostles were all embraced by the Gloam-Eyed Queen, and the black flame inside them served as their armour.

Notes & tips

  • Works as its own damage multiplier on top of physical negation.
  • A body buff, so it overrides other body buffs.
