The Confessor starts with it. You can also buy it from the Nomadic Merchant southeast of the Coastal Cave, under the collapsed structure.

Notes & tips

  • Square Off is handy: the light version breaks guards, and the heavy version breaks stance.
  • Its high base damage gives it the most attack power among regular straight swords on most affinities (Quality is the exception).
  • You can get it very early, and it can carry you through the whole game.
  • Leans toward Strength on Cold and Blood/Poison affinities.
