St. Trina

St. Trina is the saint of sleep, a figure so elusive that nobody could agree whether she was a girl or a boy. When you finally reach her, she looks like a pale young girl sleeping inside the petals of a huge deep-purple flower, her lower body turning into a dark stalk rooted in the ground. Her purple hair has a silvery-white streak, and an open wound on the side of her head still bleeds purple.

You find her in a small cave in the Garden of Deep Purple, at the bottom of the Stone Coffin Fissure. The sweet nectar she gives off is poisonous, and it brings an endless rest to anyone who drinks it. Her story is tied closely to Thiollier, and to Miquella.

Fate & endings

Lore

Trina and Miquella share one body, in the same way that Marika and Radagon do. As Miquella the Empyrean appeared as a small golden-haired boy; as Trina, as a young woman with silvery, light-purple hair. Trina showed up suddenly and vanished just as suddenly, and her love was said to have no limits, offering gentle, intoxicating sleep to everyone she visited.

Her cult had a presence at Summonwater Village, the Forsaken Ruins and Academy Gate Town, where Trina’s Lilies still grow in large numbers. Among those linked to her are Thiollier, Dolores the Sleeping Arrow, Reeling Rico and the Cleanrot Knights.

Notes & tips

  • The Stone Coffin Fissure stays sealed until Miquella’s Great Rune breaks near the Shadow Keep.
  • In the story trailer Trina appears as a young adult woman, but in the game she is a young girl.
  • The white streak in her hair shows up again in St. Trina’s Blossom.
