Putrescent Knight
The Putrescent Knight waits in the Garden of Deep Purple at the bottom of the Stone Coffin Fissure. Long ago, the dead were sealed in stone coffins and sent out to sea. The rot inside them drifted to the Land of Shadow and pooled in the fissure, waiting for a true death.
When St. Trina fell into the fissure, her sleep turned into a deadly nectar, and the putrescence that drank it took the shape of a knight sworn to her. It rides a skeletal horse and casts death sorceries made of bruise-coloured ghostflame.
This boss is part of the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion. To reach the Land of Shadow, you first need to defeat Starscourge Radahn and Mohg, Lord of Blood, then touch the withered arm in Mohgwyn Palace.

How to beat it
The knight hits with a huge crescent blade and ghostflame spells, and many attacks build up frostbite. Holy weapons and incantations work very well here, and so does scarlet rot. Strike weapons are a better choice than slashing or piercing ones. Break its stance for a critical attack.
Lore
The knight seems to be a kind of early albinauric: silver body, no lower legs, a frog-like face. Its cleaver even scales with arcane like albinauric staves.
