Miquella’s Cross

Miquella’s Crosses are golden markers found across the Realm of Shadow, shaped much like a Great Rune. Each one marks a spot where Miquella cast off a piece of himself on his way to the Gate of Divinity, and together they form a trail that others follow.

They are worth visiting: many have a message left nearby, rare Empyrean-Blood Burgeons grow around them, and some sit right next to useful upgrades. The Cross Map marks three of them on the Gravesite Plain (Main Gate Cross, Three-Path Cross and Castle Ensis Checkpoint), and the New Cross Map reveals more.

How to get there

Lore

To enter the Realm of Shadow, Miquella made use of Mohg. As he travelled, he discarded parts of himself, among them his flesh, his eye, his doubts, his love and his fears, and a golden cross appeared wherever he left one behind. Needle Knight Leda and Sir Ansbach both followed this trail of crosses in search of him.
