Foot of the Jagged Peak
The Foot of the Jagged Peak is a craggy stretch of the Southern Shore in the Realm of Shadow, linking the Gravesite Plain to the Jagged Peak. Think brown grass, bare trees, an orange sky, howling wind and huge stones jutting out of the ground at odd angles. Dead lesser dragons lie everywhere, burned by red lightning.
The headline fights are the Jagged Peak Drakes: one sleeping in the clearing on the way in and a pair duelling higher up. Around them you meet rams of several kinds, skeletal beastmen and bandits, eagles, deer and springhares.
Two characters live here: the Dragon Communion Priestess at the Grand Altar of Dragon Communion, and the dragon hunter Igon on the climb toward the peak.

How to get there
- Start at the Castle Front grace outside Castle Ensis and head south to the Dragon’s Pit.
- Beat the Ancient Dragon-Man, leave by the Dragon’s Pit Terminus grace and travel southeast to the clearing with the sleeping drake.
- Go south along the wooded trail for the Grand Altar of Dragon Communion, with Charo’s Hidden Grave and the Cerulean Coast further west.
- Go north under the molten rock arch and loop around the Finger Ruins of Rhia, then ride the Spiritspring up and cross the bridge to the Foot of the Jagged Peak grace. From there the steep ramp past Igon leads on to the Jagged Peak.
Lore
Many warriors who took the path of dragon communion travelled through here, and Dragon’s Calorbloom grows from their bodies. The trail of magma heading north shows you the way to Bayle. The Map: Southern Shore fragment reveals this area.
