Forge of the Giants

The Forge of the Giants is an enormous black cauldron on the easternmost summit of Flame Peak, held to the mountain by a huge iron chain. Inside it burns the Flame of Ruin, the fire of a nameless fell god that the Fire Giants once tended.

This is where the story turns. Rest at the grace here and the Erdtree can be set on fire, which is the only way past the thorns that block it. What it costs, and who pays the price, is one of the game’s most quietly heartbreaking moments.
