Melina
Melina is the quiet, hooded woman who appears beside you at a Site of Grace early in the game and offers you an accord. She cannot be your Finger Maiden in the usual sense, but she can turn runes into strength, and she gives you Torrent, your spectral steed. In return, she asks you to take her to the foot of the Erdtree.
She is a companion you mostly meet in quiet moments: resting at a grace, sharing echoes of Queen Marika at old churches, and appearing at key points of the main story. She speaks little, and every word counts.

Questline
- Stranded Graveyard. After your first fight with the Grafted Scion, Melina and Torrent appear briefly, and you receive your Flasks of Crimson and Cerulean Tears.
- Limgrave. Rest at a few Sites of Grace, for example Gatefront or Agheel Lake North. Melina appears and offers her accord. Accept to receive the Spectral Steed Whistle.
- Echoes of Marika. At several churches and graces, such as the Third Church of Marika and the Church of Pilgrimage, she offers to share the Queen’s words.
- Roundtable Hold. She brings you to the Roundtable Hold.
- Leyndell. After Morgott, she gives you the Rold Medallion.
- Forge of the Giants. Her purpose becomes clear at the top of Flame Peak.
Fate & endings
Melina’s journey reaches its end at the Forge of the Giants. What happens there depends partly on the choices you have made along the way.
Lore
Melina says she was given a purpose by her mother long ago. She has watched the Lands Between for a very long time, and she is tied to the Erdtree and to its fire in ways the game only slowly reveals.
Notes & tips
- If you refuse her accord, you cannot enter Leyndell even with two Great Runes. You can always change your mind by talking to her at a grace.
