Coded Sword

A sword whose blade is made of pure cipher and deals only holy damage, which no shield can stop. It needs just 20 Faith and scales B with it, so it is a light pick for a Faith build.

Its unique skill, Unblockable Blade, lengthens the blade with light for a sweeping strike that cannot be blocked.

Where to find it

On the upper floor of the Fortified Manor in Leyndell, Royal Capital, in a room that mirrors the one where the Two Fingers sit in the Roundtable Hold. You can no longer get it once you have defeated Maliketh, the Black Blade.

Item description & lore

The Two Fingers once granted this hidden sword to the Tarnished of the Roundtable, back when champions gathered at the Hold and the Fingers were still vigorous speakers.

Notes & tips

  • Pick it up before beating Maliketh, or it is missable for that playthrough.
  • Unblockable Blade ignores block damage negation, has wide reach and deals solid stance damage.
  • One-handed, it does not bounce off shields, even off very sturdy enemies.
  • It has no physical damage at all, only holy.
