Fell God
The fell god is a nameless god of fire, the power behind the Giants’ Flame and its incantations. The game never calls it an outer god outright, but it behaves much like one, and it reaches into the Lands Between more directly than most. It is described as an ancient, misshapen deity with curled horns and thick braids of bright red hair. Its eye has a central pupil ringed by eight smaller ones.
You never meet it in person, but you see it: it shows itself as a grotesque face on the torso of the Fire Giant, channelling its power through him. Its flame is kept at the Forge of the Giants on the Flame Peak.

Lore
The fell god is older than the Erdtree. Old hornsent legends of Enir-Ilim cast it as a malevolent figure. The Fire Giants were its followers, tending its undying flame in the great black Forge on the Flame Peak, high in the Mountaintops of the Giants. The god was feared, yet sparks of its flame could make even frozen ground fertile, and half-ashen, smouldering Fire Blossoms grew from them.
Its followers include the Fire Giants and the Fire Monks, among them Adan, Thief of Fire and Chief Guardian Arghanthy. The Blackflame Monks and Blackflame Monk Amon once served it too, before they turned away. The Dung Eater is also linked to it.
Notes & tips
- Its symbol, a ring of eight dots around a larger central dot, appears as a tattoo.
- Erdtree prophets glimpsed its flame within their faith, which suggests the power lives on inside the Golden Order.
