Law of Regression

Law of Regression wipes the slate clean. It removes negative statuses, buffs and debuffs from you, your allies and nearby enemies, cancels active spells in the area and even exposes enemies disguised through mimicry.

It needs 37 Intelligence, so it is mostly picked up by Int/Faith hybrids, but it is a handy utility tool for any caster who can meet it.

Where to find it

Sold for 10,000 Runes by Brother Corhyn or Miriel, Pastor of Vows once you give either of them the Golden Order Principia. If that teacher dies before you buy it, hand their Bell Bearing to the Twin Maiden Husks to buy it there instead. If both Corhyn and Miriel die before receiving the prayerbook, the spell is lost for that playthrough.

Notes & tips

  • Costs 50 Stamina to cast and affects a 15-meter radius.
  • You do not need to meet the seal’s requirements to cast it, so it works without Faith investment.
  • Useful for clearing scarlet rot when crossing the Lake of Rot if you lack the Faith for Flame, Cleanse Me or a stock of Preserving Boluses.
  • Be careful around allies: it strips their buffs too.
