Church of the Bud

The Church of the Bud sits in the southwest of the Ancient Ruins of Rauh, looking out over the tower of shadow. The ground around it is soaked in scarlet rot, and scarlet buds grow everywhere.

Pink Kindred of Rot crawl through the area, and inside waits Romina, Saint of the Bud. Here too stands the sealing tree that hides Enir-Ilim: burn it with Messmer’s Kindling and the way to the tower opens.

How to get there

Head for the southwestern part of the Ancient Ruins of Rauh.

Lore

This was once a small Hornsent church whose symbol was a simple bud. When Messmer the Impaler‘s crusade burned it down, Romina held on to the bud, found a twisted divine element in the ashes and turned it into scarlet rot. It is said the giant Spider Scorpions spread from here, and the Servants of Rot made it their home.
