Ancient Ruins of Rauh
The Ancient Ruins of Rauh are an enormous stretch of dark, octagonal pillars and arches, built by a civilization so old the ruins seem to sink into the earth itself. The western side is soaked in scarlet rot, while the eastern side is quieter but just as dangerous.
Deep inside stands the Church of the Bud, the small church tied to Romina, Saint of the Bud. In front of a giant statue of a goddess you will see Kindred of Rot and Hornsent kneeling in prayer. Expect Bloodfiends, Bloodfiend Hexers and a Curseblade perched up on a beam.
The lone Crucible Knight Devonia also waits here, near the East Site of Grace.

Lore
Long ago, before shadow covered this land, the vitality of the Crucible thrived in Rauh. The Hornsent said Crucible aspects once sprouted on a giant here, and that influence shaped the creatures living in the ruins. That is what drew Crucible Knight Devonia here on a lonely quest for the Crucible’s source.
The servants of rot came too. After Malenia abandoned them, some found a new mother when a divine element was discovered in Rauh and woven into the scarlet rot.
